About This Tour
Discover a different side of Bangladesh through its people, traditions, crafts, food and rural communities. This 9-day journey combines the country's historic landmarks with experiences that take you closer to everyday life, from bustling Old Dhaka and traditional weaving villages to riverside communities and the forests of Modhupur.
Meet local families, visit Jamdani and Tangail weaving communities, share traditional meals, learn local cooking techniques and spend time with the Mandi community in Modhupur. You will also explore bamboo and weaving traditions, join a guided jungle walk and experience local customs and community life.
The journey continues into northern Bangladesh, where ancient Buddhist and Islamic heritage meets the region's renowned silk tradition. In Nachole, spend a full day participating in the daily activities of a local community, from shopping for ingredients to preparing and sharing a meal.
Along the way, there is plenty of opportunity for spontaneous encounters with village life, farmers, local markets and other aspects of rural Bangladesh. The result is a journey that goes beyond sightseeing and offers a more personal understanding of Bangladesh and its people.

Arrival in Bangladesh
Arrival at Dhaka airport and transfer to your hotel by private vehicle. After check-in, the remainder of the day is free to relax and recover from your journey.

Discover Historic Old Dhaka
Begin your exploration of Dhaka with a full-day journey through the historic and vibrant areas of Old Dhaka. Visit the vegetable market and flower market, followed by Sadarghat, one of the city's busiest riverfront areas. Continue to Dhakeshwari Temple, Pink Palace, Star Mosque, Armenian Church and Lalbagh Fort. After lunch, visit Dhaka University before returning to the hotel.

Jamdani Weaving & Riverside Village Life
Travel to Rupshi, a traditional Jamdani weaving village, and discover the local weaving tradition. Continue towards Sonargaon and Boidderbazar, where you will take a local boat to a riverside island village. Spend time observing village life and enjoy lunch with a local family, offering an opportunity to experience Bangladesh's hospitality and everyday food culture. Return to Dhaka in the late afternoon or early evening.

Mandi Homestay & Community Experience
After visiting the Liberation War Museum, leave Dhaka and travel to Modhupur for your community-based homestay. The experience continues through the day, evening and following morning with a range of local activities. Discover Mandi cooking techniques, take part in a guided jungle trek, visit a Mandi bamboo workshop and meet members of the Mandi weaving community. In the evening, experience a candle-lighting ritual and spend relaxed time with the community through traditional and fun board games.

Tangail Weaving & Rural Life
After completing the morning activities at the homestay, continue to Tangail, one of the important traditional weaving areas of Bangladesh. Visit a weaving village and meet local families, farmers and weavers. Learn about their everyday lives and traditional work while enjoying a taste of traditional Bengali food.

Paharpur, Kushumba Mosque & Rajshahi Silk
Travel towards northern Bangladesh and visit Paharpur Buddhist Monastery, one of the major heritage sites included in the journey. Enjoy lunch with a local family before continuing to Kushumba Mosque and Sopura Silk, where you can discover another important traditional craft of the region. Continue to Rajshahi for the night.

A Day with a Local Community
Spend the day with a local community and participate in their everyday activities. Visit the local market to help purchase ingredients, return to the community and take part in preparing and cooking the meal. Share lunch with local people and spend time interacting with community members before returning to Rajshahi.

Puthia Temples, Bagha Mosque & Ganges Sunset
Visit the historic temple city of Puthia and continue to Bagha Mosque before returning to Rajshahi. After lunch, enjoy some free time at the hotel. In the late afternoon, check out and head to the river to enjoy the sunset over the Ganges. Later, take your domestic flight from Rajshahi to Dhaka.

Departure
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Dhaka International Airport according to your flight schedule for your onward journey.
