About This Tour
Step beyond the usual tourist trail and experience a more personal side of Bangladesh. This 3-day journey takes you into the rural landscapes of Madhupur and Tangail, where forests, farms, traditional homes and local communities shape everyday life.
Stay in a traditional mud-house homestay in Madhupur and spend time with the local Mandi community. Learn about traditional cooking, bamboo crafts and weaving, explore the Madhupur Sal Forest, and enjoy locally prepared food.
The journey then continues to Tangail, where you stay at the UBINIG guest house and discover another side of rural Bangladesh. Visit organic farms and a community seed bank, cycle through the countryside, meet teachers and children at a local elementary school, explore a village bazar, and visit the historic Atia Mosque. In the evening, local farmers share traditional folk songs over a locally prepared meal.
This is not a sightseeing tour where you simply pass through villages. It is an opportunity to stay, eat, walk, cycle, learn and share time with rural communities.

Homestay, Local Culture & Traditional Food
Drive for around 2 hours from Dhaka to Madhupur and settle into a traditional mud-house homestay. Meet the local Mandi community and enjoy a freshly prepared traditional lunch. Explore Mandi cooking, bamboo crafts and weaving, then relax around the homestay or take a short village walk. In the evening, enjoy a simple local ritual followed by a traditional dinner. Sal Forest & Tangail Community Life
After breakfast, enjoy a guided walk through the Madhupur Sal Forest, exploring its natural surroundings and biodiversity. Continue to Tangail and check in at the UBINIG guest house. Experience organic farming and visit the community seed bank to learn about traditional and indigenous seeds. Later, enjoy a leisurely cycling ride through the villages, passing fields, ponds and rural homes. Tangail Saree Weaving, School Life, Heritage & Local Bazar
After breakfast, visit a local elementary school to experience rural education and meet the students and teachers. Next, visit a Tangail saree weaving community to see skilled artisans working on traditional handlooms and learn how the famous Tangail sarees are made. After lunch, visit the historic Atia Mosque, followed by a walk through a local bazar to experience everyday rural trade and community life. Later, begin your journey back to Dhaka.
